On behalf of the men and women of the Utica Police Department I welcome you to our web page. The staff of our department is committed to providing our residents, business owners and visitors with efficient and effective law enforcement services that enhance the quality of life and make the City of Utica a great place to live, work or visit.

The Utica Police Department currently employs 17 sworn police officers and 5 civilian dispatchers. We are a full service department dedicated to providing cost efficient services to the community. Within our department we operate a Traffic Bureau, an Evidence Technician Unit, an Investigations Unit, Motorcycle Patrols, a Police Bicycle Patrol, and a Motor Carrier Unit.

We are proud of our service to our community and as our Mission Statement states,

"We are committed to maintaining a high quality of life in the community, striving for excellence in the ranks, and to treating all persons with the utmost respect."

We look with pride upon our past accomplishments, and look forward to the challenges the future provides us.
