Utica recognized as a 5-Star Community
UTICA RECOGNIZED AS A 5-STAR COMMUNITY
The City of Utica, Michigan has been recognized for its contributions to Michigan’s entrepreneurial growth and economic development. The annual eCities study, conducted by researchers at iLabs, University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Center for Innovation, designated Utica as a five-star community along with 94 other communities across the state.
The eCities project collects and analyzes data across Michigan communities as it relates to entrepreneurship, economic development, and job growth. Specifically, the study examines five-year’s worth of publicly available data relating to community growth and investment metrics that impact the business community. The data points are benchmarked against the State of Michigan, as well as all of the other participating communities.
